This mid-size City firm combines a high-profile commercial and entrepreneurial practice with a lively and informal atmosphere and strong profitability.
The investment funds practice at the firm has grown exponentially over the past few years, leading to the formation of a specialised group and the need for an assistant at junior level to support the group's varied workload and service clients in the UK and internationally. The client base of the firm and the group is generally more entrepreneurial than institutional, and includes funds and managers in the hedge fund, property fund and emerging markets sub-sectors.
This is an opportunity for a corporate lawyer with strong technical skills to move into a more specialised area. Any experience with funds or asset managers, from whatever aspect, would be an advantage, but not essential. A background in capital markets, joint ventures, corporate finance or private equity would be most relevant with respect to corporate experience. An understanding of regulatory issues & processes and tax considerations would also be useful. International experience is welcomed.
