A Birmingham law firm is seeking an efficient and hard working Legal Secretary to help provide support to their Corporate Finance/Insolvency department. Salary up to £19k.
The Client: Our client is a Legal 100 firm, its history can date back to the late 1880's but the firm became its own in the late 1980's when a successful merge amplified the firm's growing success. Both nationally and internationally known this firm has offices situated throughout the UK and abroad, including Italy and Germany. This firm continues to grow and expand and is one of the biggest names in the law industry.
The Role: The client is seeking a Legal Secretary to help provide support to 2 fee-earners and to ensure the maintenance of the department's filing system so that documents are up to date. The duties will include diary management, making appointments, storing all documentation, audio typing, proof reading, preparing bundles for court, working on and proof reading lengthy documents and providing support to other fee earners and secretaries as necessary. The candidate must have an understanding of the legal environment with previous corporate finance/ banking experience.
The candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills an telephone manner. The candidate must have a minimum audio typing speed of 65Wpm and be a competent IT user especially within MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Deltaview
