The current economic climate has set the scene for large amounts of work for the Birmingham office of a top 50 UK law firm. As a result they are seeking to hire 2 assistant solicitors with a minimum of 2 years pqe to join their busy and energised department. There is a wealth of business restructuring work to get your teeth into, supporting the lead partner in predominantly advising management teams facing financial difficulties.
It is a priority that as the ideal candidate you possess a 'commercial' approach to your work, it will stand you in good stead if you have perhaps have approached this work previously as a corporate or commercial lawyer however a solid grounding in non-contentious recovery and insolvency work is also as important provided this can be backed up by a commercial outlook to your work and clients.
This position gives you the opportunity to join a team where you can work alongside one of the most recognised practitioners in the market whilst gaining exposure to challenging work in a 'can-do' team environment.
