Construction Solicitor-Contentious-Kent-£50k-£65k
Our client has a vacancy for a solicitor with 3 to 5 years recent relevant experience of contentious construction work to work in a busy team. In addition to handling your own caseload you will have the opportunity to be actively involved in business development. This is opening will appeal to someone who enjoys an interactive team role servicing a wide range of both internal and external clients.
Construction is a growing team and the position offers excellent career opportunities. The existing property developer client base is supplemented by major contractors and consultancies. They also act for both public and private sector organisations on a national scale including central government agencies, local authorities, housing associations and investment portfolios.
Contentious work often involves working closely with the prestigious real estate teams, and includes adjudication, arbitration and TCC cases as well as the provision of specialist commercial advice.
Although requirement is for contentious experience some knowledge of and experience of non-contentious work would be helpful although not essential. Non-contentious work includes advising on and drafting building contracts, development agreements, professional retainers, warranties.
