NON-CONTENTIOUS CONSTRUCTION SOLICITOR - LONDON CITY
Leading full service international law firm seeks Associate Non Contentious Construction Solicitor 1-5 years PQE.
This prestigious firm has one of the leading specialist non-contentious construction law practices in the UK. The team:-
- focuses on large-scale construction and engineering projects, both domestically and in the international arena
- regularly act on landmark commercial real estate developments and on major infrastructure (including PFI/PPP) projects and energy projects, at all times handling top quality work for top quality clients (many of whom are household names)
- clients are primarily leading developers but they also deal with significant volumes of work from government bodies and financiers
- work across all the sectors of the construction industry from a single group, thus benefiting from broad experience within a specialist group.
The candidate
The essential ingredient the firm are looking for in candidates is QUALITY the firm are keen to speak with anyone who considers themselves to be a quality lawyer, even if they fall outside the stated post qualification experience criteria.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
Essential
- In the region of 1 to 5 years post qualification experience within the non-contentious construction practice of a top tier firm. The firm will consider candidates with less or more than the required level of experience provided they can demonstrate their suitability.
- Academic excellence is essential for all positions this firm
- Should have a 2:1 degree (or equivalent) and solicitors' examinations passed first time.
- All applications should include full academic details including grades, subjects and transcripts where appropriate.
- Previous experience in non-contentious construction will have been gained from a broad range of experience, involving one or more of commercial property development projects, energy projects and/or infrastructure projects. Candidates will need to demonstrate strong commercial application.
- Good drafting skills and a strong understanding of the standard forms is required.
- Proven ability to deal and communicate effectively with clients.
