They are currently looking to recruit a construction lawyer who has from 3 years+ post qualification experience to join their UK Construction and Engineering Group in Bristol to undertake primarily advisory and disputes work including risk management advice, ADR, adjudications and litigation. The Bristol team has and is growing significantly as an integral part of the national team, with its work divided between transactional and disputes . The Bristol team undertakes work on some of the country's largest infrastructure projects located all over the country for both employers and contractors.
On the disputes side current work includes:
1. Post contract advice on three major PFI contracts for an internationally renowned contractor.
2. Four significant (in excess of £2 million) for the country's largest private construction and development group.
3. Regular advice work and adjudications for the South West subsidiaries of major national contractor's.
4. Regular advice work on the commercial issues on contracts of all sizes for Contractors employers and developers.
The successful candidate will ideally have gained experience in a challenging environment, whether with a City firm or niche practice. Candidates must be technically excellent but equally important, commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development. They will be a team player with a strong client focussed approach. They will also have a strong academic background and excellent communication and organisational skills. They will be willing to work as part of the national team and travel as necessary.
