Internal Auditor, Sheffield

Internal Auditor wanted for a rewarding opportunity with one of the UK's leading law firms based in Sheffield. Salary 25k.

A leading player within the legal services market, my client is looking for an internal auditor to join the Risk and Compliance Group. This is an excellent opportunity in a business area of increasing importance and profile.

The position will primarily involve carrying out internal audits on case files and office procedures / controls, making recommendations from your findings. The successful candidate will have a significant focus on client cost agreements, auditing compliance to both internal process and regulatory requirements; experience of legal costs law would therefore be a distinct advantage for the role. You will be expected to identify opportunities for improvement across the business, taking a lead in driving change across a diverse range of disciplines. Within this role you will be making a proactive contribution to the Risk & Compliance Group and engaging internal clients at all levels. You will be relied upon to manage your own workload and present fresh ideas and initiatives to the firm.

The successful candidate should have good keyboard and numeracy skills, the ability to analyse and prioritise information and have experience of report writing and statistical analysis. The role will involve presentation of audit findings to senior management, therefore a high standard of presentation skills is also a pre-requisite to the role.

The successful candidate will be of graduate calibre with proven experience of work within a compliance / quality audit role. You must be confident using the suite of Microsoft office applications. This role will involve regular travel throughout our UK offices and some overnight stays. Candidates should be prepared to travel outside of office hours where business need dictates.
