Our client, a luminary Bristol law firm with a nationally recognised standing in competition law, is looking to appoint a competition solicitor, 0+ pqe, with excellent academics and clear competition experience to join their expert team, supporting growth and enjoying a high profile workload.
As well as advising across a range of industry sectors (including energy, food production, retail and sport) on mainstream competition matters and regulatory issues, our client is noted for expertise in guiding industry on the consequences of the Competition Act 1998 and the Enterprise Act 2002, specifically in dealing with investigations under this act, such as the ‘Dawn Raid' regime and cartel cases.
The high flying competition team remains surefooted in the handling of compliance audits and the formulation of compliance programmes and continues to handle weighty merger control cases (including a number of Competition Commission references) both in the UK and at EC level.
This is an exciting time to join the leading competition team outside of the city, and the appointment would well suit a candidate with experience of EU, procurement and/or state aid advice to compliment our clients' growing portfolio of EC work, and involvement in public procurement.
