National firm with expanding Real Estate Litigation team containing four Partners and twelve other legal advisers, operating out of four of our offices, is looking for a 1-2 yr pqe solicitor or equivalent lawyer. The successful candidate will join the team in Birmingham. The candidate will carry out a full range of commercial real estate litigation work, but with a bias towards commercial landlord and tenant issues, and with a particular emphasis on the retail and leisure sector. You will work alongside the Birmingham office Real Estate team, and the existing members of the Real Estate Litigation team, to further develop and expand their real estate offering in that location. Post-qualification experience within a real estate litigation department is essential, and business development experience would be an advantage. To succeed in this role you will have experience in the core areas of landlord and tenant issues including business lease renewals, break notices, claims relating to landlord`s consent, dilapidations claims, forfeiture, possession claims, service charge issues, and tenant default and insolvency.
