Job Description

Our client is a leader in their field and is looking for an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join the successful Property Team.  The main focus of the role will be commercial landlord and tenant work but you will also assist the residential development team. 

Acting for both landlords and tenants in respect of freehold and leasehold commercial property acquisitions and disposals to include:-

• investigation of title
• drafting and negotiating contracts for sale and agreements for lease
• drafting and negotiating various deeds and documents, including licences and guarantee documents
• drafting and negotiating new leases
• providing appropriate advice (and guidance where appropriate) to clients generally on commercial property matters
• dealing with assignments of leases
• dealing with '54 Act lease renewals
• liaising with our corporate team in respect of business sales and purchases 

Acting in connection with the acquisition of residential development sites including:

• investigation of and reporting on title
• drafting and negotiating transfers, leases and similar ancillary documents
• assisting other members of the team with larger transactions 

Experience of working within a commercial property team is essential; experience of residential development work is desirable. 

You will have a good understanding for the landlord and tenant Act 1954 along with technical property law skills. A good understanding of clients' commercial requirements would also be expected.
