Real Estate Professional Support Lawyer - PSL / TKL Part Time Bristol.
This leading firm in Bristol is looking to appoint a part-time Training and Know-how Lawyer (TKL) for its Real Estate team which sits within the wider Projects, Real Estate and Finance Group (PREF) to provide a high quality training and know-how service to Real Estate and Planning fee earners across its three offices in Bristol, Reading and London.
Your key responsibilities will be:
To assist in the maintenance and development of an up-to date and technically excellent collection of Real Estate and Planning precedents;
To assist in the organisation of the Real Estate and Planning teams' legal training programme and the provision of appropriate training to the fee earners;
To chair know-how sharing sessions and to lead some training sessions;
To assist in authorising and to collect external and internal know-how for inclusion in OC's knowledge database;
To ensure that our Real Estate and Planning lawyers are kept up to date on legal and practice developments of which they should be aware;
To prepare internal and client bulletins;
To assist in the preparation of client seminars and client training sessions;
To assist in the co-ordination of publications/articles/press releases for either external or internal publication;
To deal with queries from lawyers and clients regarding current law and practice.
You will ideally be based in Bristol but there may be some flexibility on location.
Technical skills and experience
You will have strong theoretical, practical and up-to-date knowledge of Real Estate and Planning law and practice. Due to the technical nature of the role, you'll have at least 3 years' post-qualification fee earning or equivalent experience in law gained at a City/highly regarded national law firm or in-house.
You will have knowledge and/or experience across some of the disciplines of:
Investment and corporate occupier;
Development and strategic land;
Property finance;
Planning; and
Residential
We are looking for someone with excellent research skills along with the ability to analyse complex areas of law with minimal supervision and to identify key commercial issues for our clients.
