Our prestigious city centre Manchester client seek a Team Leader to supervise a team of legal assistants providing administrative support to the offices Commercial Property team.
Duties include:
·Supervise the work of the Legal Assistant team
·Ensure that all incoming work is logged in accordance with agreed procedures
·Distribute incoming work
·Ensure fee earners give clear instructions when delegating work
·Ensure a chargeable code is received for delegated chargeable tasks
·Induct new starters into the team
·Check drafted documents and correspondence
·Maintaining a positive approach whilst supervising the team
Applicants should have prior experience working within commercial property with practical working knowledge of:
·Drafting Licenses to Assign, Alter and Underlet
·Requesting property searches
·Registering applications with the Land Registry
·Liaising with the Inland Revenue in relation to SDLT applications
In terms of personal qualities applicants must have excellent personal organizational and time management skills. In addition applicants must have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
Candidates will either be an existing Team Leader seeking a new challenge or an experience Legal Assistant looking to develop their career.
