This fairly niche central Manchester firm definitely punches above its weight, to use an all too often but this time accurately used expression.
The small but very busy team (yes, even in these lean times, they must be doing something right) is looking for an assistant solicitor who can competently get on with a range of landlord & tenant matters by themselves, as well as assisting on larger scale acquisition and disposal matters, and provide well needed support on major residential development deals.
The ideal candidate will have a background primarily in commercial property but will be able to and willing to turn their hand to residential matters where required (especially in the current climate where residential developers are having to do part exchange deals with buyers). You will need a broad range of commercial property experience, including a good depth of knowledge and practice on the landlord & tenant side.
You will probably have something in the region of 2 years' PQE but more experienced or less qualified candidates and indeed legal executives will also be considered if they can demonstrate their abilities.
The firm pays well for its size, competing on salary as well as quality of work with much larger firms. There are good prospects in the medium term for the right candidate.
