Job Description

My client is a leading UK law firm with an impressive presence in Bristol covering the South West and Midlands.  The firm is rapidly developing a national reputation for its innovative approach to delivering legal services, and for its strengths in the financial services, leisure, retail, built environment and technology and media industry sectors.

An interesting opportunity has arise to join my Client's Banking and Lender sales department in a technical support role.  The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Excellent technical proficiency with at least 3 years conveyancing experience
  • Experience in providing guidance to team members on title issues
  • Experience in checking both freehold and leasehold titles to the highest levels and reporting issue to clients
  • Experience in dealing with Right to Buy discounts and rights of first refusal
  • Familiar with what indemnity policies are available to cover title defects
  • Experience at drafting documents
  • Experience at providing structured advice to a client on a legal or procedural issue
  • Confident at researching and interpreting cases/legislation and a competent user or Lexis and Westlaw
  • Experience of shared ownership (Homebuy schemes, Housing associations and shared ownership housing)
  • To demonstrate a natural empathy/affinity with Clients and a good telephone manner, with a clear diction.
  • To be able to type and be computer literate.
  • To have competent numeracy and spelling skills.
  • To be able to demonstrate proactivity and attention to detail.
  • To demonstrate organisational and time management skills.
  • To demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop in the role.
  • To demonstrate the ability to ask for assistance when required.
  • To demonstrate a willingness to help and assist all members of the team
