This large in-house organisation based in West Yorkshire require a commercial property locum with a proven track record to manage a portfolio of approximately 400 offices and industrial parks. The caseload consists of both freehold and leasehold work with some sales and acquisitions and plenty of landlord and tenant work. The successful individual will be a qualified solicitor, ideally with previous in-house experience, although candidates from private practice may be considered if they demonstrate the necessary commercial acumen. The position is relatively autonomous, therefore a strong work ethic and confidence in own skills is essential. The current individual is leaving in mid-August, therefore the ability to start at short notice is essential, as is the requirement to commit to the assignment for 3 months.
In return, you will be offered a relatively long-term position at an excellent in-house organisation, with the opportunity to be truly responsible for your own caseload. For private practice solicitors looking to make the move in-house, this presents an excellent opportunity to make the first step and gain strong experience to support future applications.
