Job Description

Commercial Solicitor-West Sussex

Our client is one of the leading law firms in the South East with an excellent reputation for having a strong Corporate, Commercial and Assett Finance team.

The Role.

They have a vacancy for a commercial solicitor with a minimum of four years recent relevant experience of dealing with a range of intellectual property, technology and assett finance projects.

The commercial department combine excellent business understanding with exceptional, technical know-how to make certain that our clients are protected. We provide practical commercial advice to companies, partnerships, public sector bodies and Not-for-Profit Organisations.

The Aviation division is a growing team including sale and purchase of aircraft (ranging from Boeing 747s to regional jets), engines and components; leases of aircraft, helicopters, engines, agreements for parts supply including exchange and "Power by the Hour" agreements, maintenance agreements, technology related issues including software and on-line trading issues.

Other sectors you will be involved with are Intellectual Property Rights issues especially trade marks and copyrights, trading arrangements such as partnership agreement, joint ventures between public and private sector organisations, agency and distribution agreements, procurement agreements for the provision of a variety of goods, services and works including manufacturing agreements and R&D agreements.

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating aircraft sale and purchase agreements and reviewing the associated financial documents, drafting, reviewing and negotiating aircraft and engine leases, drafting, reviewing and negotiating facility agreements, term loans, LMA based term facilities, revolving facility agreements, intercreditor agreements and security packages.

You will be acting for parts companies on the drafting and negotiation of agreements relating to component supply including exchange, leases and "Power by the Hour" agreements.

Acting for aviation clients on the outsourcing of a variety of services including catering, marketing and the supply of various goods and services.

Ideally, at least 3-4 years post qualification experience of commercial law with a particular bias toward aviation work, including transactional, regulatory and finance experience'.
