BCL Legal the leading legal recruiter in the Midlands has the following vacancy:
As the Principal Legal Advisor to the organisation, this role will involve dealing with a wide range of day to day commercial matters to include commercial and corporate agreements, confidentiality agreements, terms of business and contractual issues.
You will also be responsible for the management of commercial litigation matters, including those arising from professional indemnity and credit control issues. You will be required to liaise with the complaints team, brokers and insurers. Other duties include preparing and issuing proceedings as required, and engaging with credit control.
A significant part of this role will include advising the Board and Senior Management Team on legal and FSA implications of strategic projects, high level participation and management of relevant project initiatives and work streams.
In addition to the more commercial aspects of the role, you will also be responsible for the Supervision of Group compliance within Data Protection Act 1998 and Companies Act legislation, as well as the management of projects as assigned by Risk and Compliance Director to whom you will directly report.
Candidates are expected to have circa 5 years PQE, however applicants with more or less PQE may be considered.
