SENIOR COUNSEL - SOLICITOR / LAWYER
COMMERCIAL IN-HOUSE
We are delighted to be recruiting for our client a global US Corporation currently looking to recruit a Senior Counsel to head up the UK office based in Middlesex.
· To be successful you will be at least 7PQE+ and have experience of working in the UK as well as working knowledge of legal practice in Europe and beyond with a core focus on commercial agreements.
· Experience working in an in-house environment is key with all the experience of dealing with a wide range of legal, commercial and strategic matters that such a role entails;
· You will possess strong thinking skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work well with internal and external customers and vendors.
· You will have that 'commercial' legal mind and be prepared to get involved with the management team as well as getting to know the business inside out;
· Management experience and exposure is a must as you will be engaging with and managing a small team. You must understand the process and be able to deal with and advise on any key problems that arise;
· You will be able to draft, review and negotiate strategic business and commercial agreements across multiple commercial areas, including sales, distribution, long term supply and purchase, transportation, warranties, guarantees, agency, confidentiality, professional services and customer support agreements;
· Solid experience of compliance issues that affect the modern corporate will also be a must;
· You will also assist with and provide legal advice to clients on a variety of commercial transactions in the United Kingdom & Europe, as well as further afield.
