A superb opportunity has arisen to join this well led and highly regarded company within the pharmaceutical industry. This busy in house team seeks a Legal Counsel to take up the challenges of this exciting role. Reporting to the General Counsel, the role is to handle matters involving general commercial contracts by ensuring prompt legal advice is provided and business objectives are met. This role will suit a candidate who has at least 5 years PQE* and who is looking to join an organisation offering excellent prospects and high quality cutting edge work.
Key Responsibilities will include:
· Drafting, reviewing and amending contracts
· Providing legal advice to the business together with researching and advising on various legal issues that arise
· Preparing and delivering training programmes on a range of matters
· Regularly updating and preparing legal precedents
· Supporting the General Counsel on various projects
· Assisting the business with company secretarial and corporate matters.
· Ensuring compliance procedures are met and adhered to.
To be considered for the role you will be a qualified solicitor with first class academics from a leading university and will have trained at a top tier UK or international law firm. In house experience would be advantageous. You will be approachable, down-to-earth and commercial and will have outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail. You will be confident at building and developing relationships within the business both domestically and internationally and will be a proactive business partner.
