My client is a leading business analysis and information services company whose services are aimed at helping its clients recover lost profits through unearthing payment errors. Through data mining, extensive knowledge of finance operations, and a range of other tools, my client is able to provide extensive analysis of spend data and produce financial reporting to help its clients improve their financial processes.
The company is now seeking to recruit a qualified lawyer (or equivalent experience) who has a strong background within contract and commercial law, including contract drafting, review and negotiation. This could have been gained from either within a private practice or in-house.
This Commercial Contracts Manager is a new position which will be based at the international headquarters of this company, based in Bedfordshire. Working within the in-house legal team you will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective working relationships with international clients, internal colleagues and external legal advisors.
The key elements of this role will be to draft and finalise all client and key supplier contracts. You will also be involved in advising on bids, preparing draft contracts and providing bid content, where you will receive support from international lawyers and in-house counsel.
Candidates with excellent drafting and negotiating skills are invited to apply for this position. You will be competent in resolving legal issues, handling a range of queries and advising on regulatory matters.
We would be very keen to hear from candidates with a strong background of international contract and commercial contracts, who like to work in a strong team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication is a pre-requisite for this role, as you will be expected to prepare and negotiate contracts, support tender activity and deal directly with clients.
It is not essential that candidates are currently in an in-house position and candidates currently within private practice are welcomed to apply.
