Our client is rated by the Legal 500 as a leading healthcare law firm, based in South West London, and they are looking for a Legal Secretary to join their Dispute Resolution Team.
Daily duties will include:-
-Monitoring post and/e-mails and dealing with as appropriate, ensuring that all client related correspondence is passed on to an appropriate fee-earner
-Taking internal and external telephone queries, responding as appropriate
-Typing and amending correspondence, documents, reports, faxes etc whether from the digital dictation system or other sources
-Diary management
-File management
-Meeting and travel arrangements
-Assisting fee-earner in the billing and credit control process by liaising with the fee-earner and Accounts department, to include the production of financial/time reports through Elite and draft manual bills as necessary
-Requesting cheques, bank transfers and paying in money received as appropriate
-Liaising with the department's Secretarial Coordinator over any planned absences, arranging cover as necessary and communicating this to relevant fee earners
-Other ad-hoc duties when required
Essential skills & experience must include:-
-Previous Legal Secretarial experience with Commercial is essential
-Typing speed of 65+WPM
-Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint & knowledge of Elite, Lotus Notes/Outlook
