My client is a leading international engineering consultancy who operates in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Due to expansion they are now looking to appoint UK General Counsel to be based at the UK head office in Cardiff. You will be responsible for legal advice within all UK regions. Your responsibilities will include drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts and as the company is growing strategically you will also have involvement in any joint venture and acquisition work Reporting into the UK Commercial Director as sole counsel you will be involved in strategic decisions, and hold responsibility for rolling out legal precedents to other business functions. You will have 5+ years experience ideally working in-house in a varied commercial role, private practice applications will also be considered and exposure to the engineering or construction environment would be advantageous but not essential. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious commercial lawyer looking to make an impact with a market-leader at the forefront of this dynamic industry. This role attracts a salary of £65,000 plus an excellent benefits package including car allowance and bonus.
