On Behalf of this very well respected Client, Frances Armstrong Associates LLP is currently seeking a Commercial Property Solicitor with 1-3 years UK PQE in Commercial Property to join the firm’s strategically placed Brighton branch.
Our client is renowned for its specialised Property Services team that is constantly developing an enviable position in the market place for dealing with high quality transactional work for commercial clients, investors and developers. This firm fully understands both the commercial and legal issues facing its clients and has the technical competence and processes in place to ensure that they deliver their services efficiently and effectively.
Due to the on-going success of the firm property team, this client now requires an additional career driven commercial property solicitor to continue to build upon the firm’s already solid reputation for delivering the finest services in the local area.
The current team comprises of a professional team of 50 employees, including multiple Partnerships and over 20 fee earners.
Role and Responsibilities
• Managing, under supervision, a large and varied caseload with precision and commerciality
• Dealing with a wide range of commercial property matters for general business clients, institutions and public authority bodies
• Handling the sale and purchase of commercial and industrial property
• Preparation and approval of leases and all matters relating to the Landlord and Tenant Act
• Securitisation of assets mainly for banks
• Providing general property advice and assisting our Corporate Department on transactions that involve property
Key Attributes and Experience requirements
• Ideally 1-3 years post qualification experience of commercial property work
• An understanding of client needs; able to pre-empt issues and meet client expectations
• Commercial awareness
• Good communication skills
• Client focus; the ability to build and sustain relationships
• A willingness to become involved in the marketing of the department and to assist in business development initiatives where possible
• The ability to work well under pressure and manage a varied workload with supervision from the more senior solicitors, and the support of comprehensive accounting tools
• Solid IT skills with a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience of working a case management system would also be desirable
