Solicitor, Commercial IP
Location: Oxford
Salary: £30,000 - £50,000
We are recruiting for a new exciting position within our clients Commercial Team in their Oxford office for a Commercial IP Solicitor of 2-4years PQE. The role will assist the existing Commercial team in Oxford on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
To provide clients with high quality commercial and intellectual property legal advice
You will be giving advice in respect of whether certain marks are capable of registration or not, prosecuting applications to register trade marks worldwide using national and supra-national systems, advice on watch notices, advice in respect of trade mark oppositions and infringements and drafting trade mark and design licences, assignments etc
You will also be required to undertake general commercial work (such as confidentiality agreements, distributorships, agencies, terms and conditions of sale of goods and services, corporate support due diligence etc) for clients in all business sectors.
Participate fully in business development activities by supporting senior colleagues as requested;
Skills:
Appropriate professional qualifications with experience of IP work (particularly trade marks and designs) either as a trainee solicitor or post qualification
IT literate
Excellent communication, organisation and problem solving skills
Confident manner and some business development experience
