Excellent opportunity for a NQ+ lawyer to join this highly rated Mid-Sized Central London outfit.
You will join the firm's Commercial Group which forms part of their Corporate and Commercial Department and provide commercial advice and contracts, in particular IT procurement, standard terms and conditions of sale and purchase of goods and services as well as advising on partnerships, LLPs, limited partnerships and contractual joint ventures.
The role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to get a really good breadth of experience and work with an interesting mix of clients across the private, public and charity sectors. There is also the scope to do IP and some private M&A work.
There is plenty of opportunity to get involved and have responsibility for your own caseload (initially smaller clients but building on this over time) and supporting partners on more complex matters. Every day is different and they can provide a variety of interesting work that you wouldn't necessarily experience working for a large law firm. As a junior fee earner in the department you would get involved in business development/marketing opportunities and contact with clients from the outset.
The Corporate Commercial Department has 13 Partners, 2 Senior Associates, 5 Associates, 6 Solicitors, 1 Consultant, 4 trainees, 2 paralegals and a Professional Support Lawyer. The group advises on a wide range of commercial contracts and related regulatory issues and their reputation has grown considerably over recent years and is line with further ambitious plans for development.
The role will suit someone who has completed a training seat that has covered commercial contract work of some kind. They would also consider someone who has completed their training contract in-house and is now looking to get into private practice. Someone who has had exposure to LLP/Partnership work during their training contract would be desirable.
