Our client a leading blue-chip company is looking for a Legal and Contract Officer to be based at their Portsmouth site. Responsible for providing contractual expertise and support for the procurement of goods or services, supporting supply management teams in producing all types of contractual agreement forms and negotiating terms & conditions. You will directly support the National teams of UK but also the French and German teams for the purpose of transnational agreements. You will ensure that the legal and commercial consequences of all supply activities meet the requirements of the Supply Management Division, thus liaise closely with the legal, financial, insurance departments, and support the procurement operations. Successful applicants will have a good background in Law from either a Commercial/ Contracts or a Corporate/Commercial role. This means they will be accustomed to dealing with complex contractual issues. Candidates of Solicitor, Paralegal or Executive standard will be considered. A background in Engineering would be advantageous.
