This leading national practice has an excellent reputation for its commercial advice, particularly in the technology sector. With business booming the team have plans to grow over the medium term and this vacancy marks the beginning of this planned expansion.
The team seek a talented assistant 1+ pqe, ideally with experience of IT and IP as it is intended that the successful candidate will work primarily on commercial contracts, IT and IP issues in relation to the TMT and commercial sectors. That said, the Commercial team as a whole specialises in work in the healthcare, IT, and telecoms sectors and it is intended going forward that solicitors will be exposed to a wider range of commercial work than has previously been possible and work in other areas of the group's practice (general commercial, healthcare, projects and construction) is therefore possible, subject to an individuals interests and skills.
The quality of the work on offer is superb with a client base that comprises a number of well-known names in the telecoms and IT sectors (some multinational, others household names, and others SME or smaller UK-based corporates), manufacturers, business service providers, NHS Trusts and other government and public sector bodies, and South West-based corporates.
This is an exciting opportunity (with the prospect of international travel) for an ambitious and hard working assistant keen to make his/her mark.
