Our client is the UK's largest regulated clean water and wastewater services company. This is a great opportunity for a bright and enthusiastic solicitor to join the in-house team. This commercially focused role offers a varied and challenging caseload with the opportunity to work on major projects.
Managing your own caseload, you'll advise all areas and levels of the business on a wide range of matters including: drafting and negotiating procurement/outsourcing contracts, IT contracts, construction, engineering and O&M contracts and supply agreements. You will also need to develop a working knowledge of the regulatory regimes in which the business operates.
Working within the commercial team, you'll report to the Principal Commercial Solicitor. You'll also work closely with other litigation and operational and regulatory teams. You will be encouraged to provide assistance and support to colleagues and there will be opportunities to become involved in work spanning other legal disciplines.
You'll be a qualified solicitor with up to two years' general commercial experience and be able to demonstrate commercial awareness. Knowledge of data protection, employment and/or intellectual property law would be an advantage. You'll also be confident and self-motivated and flexible in your approach to work, with strong interpersonal skills.
The role is based in central Reading and attracts a market leading salary as well as an excellent benefits package.
