FIRM My client is a regional heavyweight that has built a reputation for providing "city quality" legal services and attracts large regional OMBs and many large blue-chip organisations in their client base. Regularly sitting alongside "the magic circle" on legal panels, the firm recognises its success comes from its people. DEPARTMENT The Commercial Litigation Department is based across 2 offices in the UK. With clients ranging from blue-chip businesses to regional heavyweights, the existing team advises on contractual disputes, disputes relating to dealership and distribution agreements, warranty claims, director/shareholder/partnership disputes, commercial fraud, IP claims, professional negligence claims and defamation... ROLE This role is to set up a Commercial Litigation Department in Northampton from scratch. Strategically, the firm is planning to have an operating team within the next 12 to 18 months. The role will therefore involve a large amount of business development and networking, fee earning activities and ultimately the management of a growing team. This is a great opportunity for a senior commercial litigator (either at partner or associate level) to take on a new challenging opportunity. The role will suit an experienced solicitor with great marketing and networking abilities and an outstanding technical knowledge. Should you wish to find out more, please call me for a confidential conversation, but bear in mind that the role will ultimately become what you make of it. Salary: £70 - 110K basic salary for partner level and depending on experience - with the opportunity to more than double the amount with drawings. Benefits: 30 days holidays, private medical insurance, contributory pension... IMPORTANT NOTE Our aim is to respond to all successful applications within 5 days. If you haven't been contacted within 5 days your application has been unsuccessful and your details will not be held further but we positively encourage you to apply for any other positions that you may see in the future. We apologise that we cannot contact everybody in person but thank you in advance for your interest.
