Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit for an experienced Portfolio Manager to work in the Collections department of a large law firm based in Manchester. Part of the firm owns a progressive financial services business. This is where you will be based.

The main purpose of the role is to perform case reviews to utilise the legal process in the collection of overdue debt. This will include:

• Undertaking account litigation reviews to make informed decisions to pass cases forward for legal action.
• Providing a professional and informative primary point of contact for all clients ensuring all clients related requests are fulfilled satisfactorily.
• Dealing with inbound and outbound calls to clients as and when required. Referring cases to clients and deal with query responses in the requested format.
• Dealing with any general account enquiries whether by phone or in correspondence.
• Updating any account information and recording all contact with customers on the accounts system.

The successful candidate will have experience of working within a similar role in a Debt Recovery or Financial Services environment. Knowledge of the litigation process as well as a commercial awareness would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Credit Reference and a Basic CRB Disclosure check.
