Our client is one of the biggest law firms in the country going through a continual period of growth and as such is looking to take on a key position to facilitate innovation and business development.  With a strong footing within the insurance market, this full service firm is pushing the boundaries of traditional practice and developing into a national firm with a great reputation.

This role is supporting the head of their insurance division.  This area of the practice brings in revenues in excess of 50 million, and has a team of 600 people working towards a common goal.  The Head of the division who also sits on the board is looking for a "number 2".  This role will be very broad, but the aim of the position is to support the Head of the Division in the goal of developing the largest legal insurance team in the country.

You will be asked to:

• Be involved in meetings with clients
• Be involved in partnership meetings
• Be involved in board meetings
• Chair departmental meeting
• Manage clients
• Prepare management information
• Prepare client information
• Be proactive with client work and in-house operational tasks
• Manage the budget
• Travel to client meeting and represent the firm/Head of.
• You must have a strong academic back ground
• You must have experience within the legal domain OR strong Insurance back ground
• You must have experience of working at/with board level
• You must have energy, enthusiasm and confidence
• You must be ambitious, motivated and professional

This role is a fantastic career opportunity for a solicitor who is looking to move away from the direct fee earning role, has fantastic organisational skills and is very commercially aware.
