An outstanding opportunity has now arisen to join Ubisoft's legal team in the Headquarter inParis. You will be the only lawyer dedicated to all online activities. You will be providing legal support in collaboration with business units and functions as well as game development studios. You will draft and optimize the legal framework linked to the use and life length of 'in-game' virtual currency and to virtual and real currency transactions (relevant laws and tax impacts). You will also draft and update terms of use, you will ensure personal data protection and compliance with relevant policies, regulations and laws. Furthermore, you will provide legal support to the business units and functions and game development studios in connection with online games on new platforms and distribution models. Your responsibility will also be to coordinate litigation and management of dispute resolutions with outside counsel if necessary specifically related to online matters.
You are a qualified lawyer with excellent academics and at least 3 years professional experience in internet related legal issues gained in a top level law firm or an international company. You have very good drafting and negotiation skills, are a good team player and are able to communicate with business people on all levels. Ideally you have a business level of French, although this is not a prerequisite.
