Job Description

Eversheds is not your average law firm and we're not looking for average people. We do things differently in the way we treat our people and the service we provide. That's how we've become one of the largest law firms in the world and a great place to work and develop your career. The Eversheds Real Estate practice has status and substance. External commentators often refer to us as one of the largest real estate practices and there are very few firms which have such a varied portfolio of work. We aim to be first to the market for solutions for our clients and work seamlessly across borders, integrating our specialists as they need them. The team includes leading experts working on virtually every form of major infrastructure and development project in the market today; shaping the law and delivering the projects that matter. This role is responsible for providing technical support to a team working with social housing clients, local authorities, housing associations and national developers. You will manage the full life cycle of your own caseload including the disposal of properties by Right to Acquire, Right to Buy, Grant of Shared Ownership Leases and Underleases. You will also manage and supervise one team member. In addition to this, you will demonstrate understanding of your client's focus and have detailed knowledge of your area; understanding of processes and systems, and where to access information. You will have strong technical skills and previous experience of working within Real Estate, with housing associations, social housing and developer clients. You will understand how matters progress and have excellent writing and drafting skills, with a high level of accuracy. Client service orientated, you will also be commercially aware with good IT skills. With previous experience of working in a busy team and meeting strict deadlines, you will be highly organised and able to multi-task. Flexible and resilient, you will have excellent communication and teamwork skills. In addition to the above, Eversheds also require consciousness and full participation in the Firm?s commitment to equality and diversity, the environment and health and safety.
