The department
Our specialist costs team of 2 Associates and 17 fee earners provides expert and practical advice across both Claimant and Defendant costs issues.
This is a 6 month fixed term contract for a Junior Secretary in a very busy department.
Core responsibilities
This is a Junior Secretary role for a period of 6 months in a very busy department, where you will be responsible for supporting the team secretaries in their day to day admin tasks.
You will have responsibility for assisting with billing, i.e. printing proformas and inputting data into excel database, whilst ensuring compliance with Management Information on Excel databases.
You will have responsibility for filing for designated fee earners, archiving files and scanning invoices, bills etc.
In addition to this you will be expected to prepare correspondence and documents from digital diction as and when require and will prepare post for collection.
You will be expected to handle confidential information in line with the firms data security protocols.
Key skills
It would be beneficial if you have an secretarial NVQ / Diploma or equivalent, but this is not essential. However, we do expect you to have good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft packages, and must be qualified to a minimum of 5 GCSEs (including a grade C in English and Maths) or equivalent
We expect you to have good all round communication skills both oral and written with a client service-focused approach. You must have an excellent eye for detail with a concern for quality and accuracy.
We expect you to hava a team oriented focus and collaborative with a flexible, can do attitude.
