Job Description

Clinical Risk Solicitor - 9 Month Fixed Term Contract

A vacancy has arisen for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to be based in the  Clinical Risk department in the London office of an excellent law firm.

This firm are dedicated to providing commercial legal advice and representation to clients in the Public, Private and Third Sectors which provide, procure, fund and regulate public services.

The Role

The team of clinical negligence specialists works across both the public and private sectors: we are members of the NHSLA clinical negligence panel and highly regarded for their work in the NHS, and they also provide clinical negligence services to private health companies.  The department consists of 7 partners and over 33 lawyers, 8 of which form part of the Clinical Negligence team in London.  In joining the team your role would involve managing a broad range of clinical negligence claims covering surgery, obstetrics and mental health independently and assisting other solicitors on significant value and complex cases.

The Individual

Ideally experience of working in Defendant Clinical Negligence, but Claimant Clinical Negligence experience is a possibility. A minimum of 3 years PQE is preferred.
Good analytical and drafting skills, with attention to detail and strong organisational and time management skills. We are seeking a team player with good interpersonal abilities.
