Barrister's Clerk, Leeds
A Civil & Family Clerk is required to join a reputable firm within the Yorkshire area. Salary circa £18k. This role is for a 9 month fixed term contract.
A highly regarded firm with an excellent reputation across the Yorkshire region, my client requires a Civil and Family Clerk to join their Leeds based team.
The role will be to provide an excellent service on behalf of the firm when assisting in the management and development of barristers practices. You will maintain and develop the in house systems ensuring that file information is kept up to date. Additional responsibilities include ensuring all Briefs are in Chambers for hearings within the deadline, arranging conferences, agreeing fees on behalf of Counsel, liaising with Listing Offices. You will also be required to take on additional duties in other departments from time to time.
The role would suit an LPC Graduate who is looking to gain some hands on experience prior to commencing a training contract. Excellent organisation and communication skills are required for this role, alongside the ability to work under pressure and often to a tight deadline. Good IT skills are also required and a good knowledge of the English legal system and the Bar is an advantage.
