An exciting locum Commercial Lawyer position has arisen within the Banking Sector, based in the South West of England. This position carries an extremely competitive salary, and a good length of contract.
Reporting directly into a Senior Lawyer, the position offers unparalleled opportunities to become part of a World Leading Banking Institution. You will be working with some of the best and most experienced legal professionals in the Country.
Applications are welcomed from Legal Executives, Barristers and Solicitors. You will have to have a professional legal qualification in a UK jurisdiction.
Duties and responsibilities for the role will include:
- Work with the business in particular Products, Risk and Change Management teams
- Advise the business on legal issues, particularly within business change
- Ability to identify legal risk issues and support resolution, escalating where necessary
To be considered for this role, you will need to satisfy the following criteria;
- Strong Commercial Lawyer background, preferably in-house.
- Proven track record of working with/within the Financial Services Sector
- Good technical knowledge of financial products, including Banking laws and regulations
- Excellent drafting skills, with an emphasis on financial products and processes
- Experience in SME lending, Consumer Credit Act and aspects of FSA regulatory regime
