Job Description

A well known brand in the wealth management sector is currently seeking an experienced Financial Services and Regulatory lawyer for a regional sole counsel role. Serving an extremely sophisticated client base, this role requires both exceptional technical skills, and the interpersonal skills necessary to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

In this challenging and autonomous role you will be responsible for providing expert and timely legal advice on a variety of matters including:

• New financial services products and services
• Changes to Legislation and regulation in the UK and Europe
• Legal risk issues arising within the business including its products and projects as well as providing legal support in relation to;

• The development of new product offerings within the business across multiple jurisdictions and business segments and
• Liaising with other bank functions to ensure that all legal and regulatory risk issues are properly addressed before products are launched

You will ideally be a qualified lawyer with a minimum of 4 years financial services experience. Ideally you will have a working knowledge of the wealth management sector and products and/or investment and derivatives products and services. You should have strong communication skills and confident presentation in order to establish credibility with senior business stakeholders and build an internal profile within the organisation.
