When leading businesses ? such as global banks, insurers, hedge funds and brokers ? look to resolve disputes, they need truly expert advice and support. Eversheds? Leeds Financial Services Dispute Resolution (FSDR) team was set up in the summer of 2010 and has gone from strength to strength. We are now at the point where we need a full-time partner based locally to help realise the full potential of the practice. Part of a wider group of over 130 dedicated lawyers worldwide who are handling dispute management, alternative dispute resolution and contentious regulatory advice, you will drive our growth in Leeds and provide inspiration and leadership to the team around you. You will look to diversify our work and attract new opportunities, drawing on your own network of contacts as well as Eversheds? existing client base. As well as supporting service delivery and supervising professional negligence cases, you will have responsibility for our Leeds team?s budget and financial performance. We will also expect you to oversee the recruitment and career development of staff and the integration of Leeds into the wider FSDR operation. Almost certainly a partner in a major national or international law firm, you will have built strong relationships with financial institutions and be an established player ? recognised by your peers and the directories. We are looking for experience across some of the following areas: retail bank litigation/disputes; commercial/wholesale lending disputes; professional negligence; fraud (including mortgage fraud); title rectification; consumer credit litigation and regulatory; asset finance and sales finance litigation; pensions litigation or contentious regulatory in financial services. You will be responsible for a team of eight lawyers and expected to handle everything from client service and people issues through to financial performance, so experience of leadership would certainly be an advantage. Energetic and passionate, you must be able to build lasting client partnerships and cultivate new business. Proven sales skills are therefore essential, along with the ability to deliver against a straightforward business plan. A good team player and communicator, you will help to develop others? talent, while at the same time tackling any issues of underperformance. In addition to the above, Eversheds also require awareness and full participation in the Firm?s commitment to equality and diversity, the environment and health and safety.
