Job Description

A global bank is currently seeking a talented junior lawyer to join their well established in-house team. As part of this forward thinking and commercial business you will enjoy direct access to the business, excellent training and mentoring and genuine career opportunities.

Reporting directly to the Head of Legal and working within a fast paced and collegiate team you with responsible for:

• Assisting the legal department with reviewing and drafting legal documents
• Providing legal advice to the trade finance business, including in respect of complex finance transactions
• Advising business originators with regard to structuring and other legal aspects of transactions
• Working closely with a senior lawyer on each transaction together with development and maintenance of relationships with law firms.
• Providing ad-hoc advice and assistance to the business as required.

Ideally you will be a qualified lawyer with a minimum of 2 years experience in the area of trade finance or general finance law gained in a leading law firm or banking organisation. You should have strong communication skills and confident presentation in order to establish credibility with senior business stakeholders and build an internal profile within the organisation. An enthusiastic and energetic attitude is a must.
