Frances Armstrong Associates is currently seeking a 4+yr PQE Pensions Solicitor / Fee Earner to join our prestigious client’s renowned Employment & Pensions department based at their branch in West Sussex.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4+yrs PQE in UK Employment law with particular experience gained in Pensions work such as advising on pension’s schemes and dealing with pensions disputes on behalf of both employers and trustees.

Role:

* Deal with a broad range of challenging pension issues and regularly advise both employers and trustees on all aspects of pensions law
* Advising on issues arising prior to winding up occupational pension schemes and during the wind up process itself
* Explaining to employers how the new regulatory framework impacts upon pension costs at a time of rising scheme deficits and the options available to control those costs
* Advising on the extent that employers need to amend their scheme benefit structures in the light of legal developments relating to equal treatment and age discrimination
* Dealing with pensions aspects of corporate transactions
* Dealing with pensions disputes (including complaints made to the Pensions Ombudsman)
* Advising private sector contractors and authorities on the pensions implications of local government outsourcing projects and the requirements needed to satisfy future pension provision
* Developing the Pensions practice with support from the Firm’s Management team; implementing marketing initiatives and drawing on existing contacts

The successful applicant will have:

* A minimum of 4+yrs PQE dealing with employment law, particularly with pensions work
* Excellent financial management of your own client files
* Good Client focus with a strength to build and sustain relationships quickly
* Desire to market your work and introduce business development initiatives where possible
* A good eye for detail
* The ability to work as part of a team
* Solid IT skills

Salary: M/Rate (A very healthy Salary will be discussed at interview and will reflect the experience of the applicant
