An excellent opportunity for a Legal Secretary with Costs experience to work within Manchester City Centre

This modern, local law company is offering a genuine opportunity for progression as the firm looks to cement its growing reputation and increasing panel representation.

The role will involve:

Working within Costs
Logging all new files in the book and putting all the relevant information onto the Case Management and Fee Earner Desktop system
Calculating the Costs schedules at the end of each file from the Claimant's Solicitors
Checking and sorting all incoming post for the Costs Team and distributing it to the relevant Fee Earners
Diarising appointments
Paying in cheques and sending out cheques to Claimant's Solicitors
Requesting VAT invoices from Accounts and dealing with queries
Chasing costs schedules from Claimant's Solicitors via letters and telephone
Answering all telephone calls for the Costs Team and taking messages
Also dealing with queries regarding files as and where possible
Audio Typing correspondence and attendance notes
Sending and requesting files back from Archive
