Are you an experienced Corporate Solicitor looking for a fresh challenge? Perhaps seeking to escape the fee earning grind? This is a fanastic opportunity to join a market leading international practice within their structured team of Practice Support Lawyers.

Your role will concentrate on knowledge management and training in respect of a wide range of corporate transactions but in particular private equity. duties will include the following:-

-Identifying available sources of technical and commercial know-how; changes in law and practice relevant to the Corprate team;

- Gathering relevant know-how and make it available to all lawyers in the most effective and supportive way to suit their activities and workload; obtaining feedback from the lawyers on the availability and use of such know-how and make any necessary changes;

- Identifying the training and development needs of lawyers; assessing how such needs may be met from sources either within the firm or externally;

- Organising the delivery of training (including acting as a trainer where appropriate); obtaining feedback on such training and the effect which it has had on the development of recipients and make any necessary changes;

- Developing best practice guidance in respect of the delivery of know-how and training and development support and share it with relevant parties working in these fields;

- Writing or assisting in the writing of or research for articles for internal or external publication ;

- Working within the budget allocated for know-how and training and development support.

You will have effective analytical, verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills. In addition, you will have sound administration and IT skills.

Knowledge Management is taken very seriously by the firm. There is a very clearly defined career path and last year a partner was appointed from the PSL team. Corporate have a structured team of PSLs looking after the 4 main corporate product lines namely private equity, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and tax.

The Corporate PSL function is extremely 'hands on' both through design and to some extent necessity than other departments and has the committed support of senior Corporate managers.
