Law Costs Draftsman/Negotiator Manchester - £NEG ACCORDING TO EXPERIENCE
Our client are specialists in the Personal Injury sector. They use the latest technology and the best Fee Earners to provide a speedy resolution to personal injury claims.
Based in Manchester City Centre, the successful candidate will enable the Personal Injury team to have an in-house facility to deal with costs recovery. They will assist in the drafting and/or negotiating of costs within the PI team as well as assisting the team in training relating to all costs issues. This role will involve liaising with insurance companies and defendant solicitors, and if appropriate they will be required to attend court to deal with assessment proceedings.
Applications are sought from candidates who have worked in a similar previous position and are fully capable of dealing with costs recovery matters. In order to carry out this role efficiently, it is essential that candidates possess a commercial awareness and have practical experience in drafting bills of costs and negotiating settlement of costs. Experience of working within a Personal Injury team is desirable although not an essential requirement.
This department will be built up from scratch therefore leadership and management skills are a bonus. We are looking for a candidate who has the passion and the determination to drive this new department forward.
