Job Description

Niche, 3-office, 70-odd partner, £40m odd turnover firm is looking for an ambitious assistant with 2 to 4 years' experience of non-contentious banking and asset finance work with one of the leading law firms and / or in-house. Previous experience of ship finance is helpful but not essential.

Clients include Barclays Bank, Bank of Ireland, AIB, Lloyds TSB, RBS and Bank of India. Regular work is undertaken on behalf of the the firm's impressive corporate and real estate client base. The majority of the work is made up of asset finance (particularly ship finance and property finance) and banking transactional and advisory work.

You will be acting for banks and other financiers particularly those based overseas in the US and Indian sub-continent. A substantial part of the work is multi-jurisdictional and you will be expected to liaise with and manage foreign counsel on cross-border transactions. You will also play a key role in the continued development of the banking and asset finance practice.
