The London office of this top-50 global practice is seeking a finance lawyer with up to 2 years' PQE to join its growing finance practice group.
The ideal candidate will have trained at an English firm and have spent one or two seats in a banking group during training. If relevant, post-qualification experience will ideally have been gained in the banking group of the firm, where the candidate trained with a focus on general banking, property, project or asset finance. The candidate will be expected to be familiar with the usual suite of finance documents (facility agreements, security documents and intercreditor documents) as well as having good transaction management experience (e.g. managing conditions precedent; dealing with overseas counsel, etc).
The candidate will be working in the finance group located in London to provide, principally, borrower-side advice. He/she will assist in conventional financing transactions and will be expected to assist with Islamic finance.
Applicants should hold a 2:1 or higher degree (or equivalent) from a recognised university and be admitted to the Roll of Solicitors.
The firm's London office has been expanding quickly since it was established. The firm has, inter alia, corporate M&A, corporate finance, specialised finance (e.g. projects, oil and gas, Islamic finance, structured leasing), tax, employment, international arbitration and litigation expertise. The work is international and based across many jurisdictions.
Salary £90,000 to c. £110,000
