BANKING/PFI/COMMODITY/INFRASTRUCTURE LAWYER - LONDON CITY
Leading international legal practice offering a full business law service from offices across Europe, the Middle East and Asia are looking to grow their banking practice and seek entrepreneurial lawyers at partner, senior associate and associate level. These lawyers will come from the folllowing backgrounds:
Project Finance
Commodity finance
Infrastructure
Construction
The Infrastructure, Commodities and Mining team within their Banking practice comprises three partners, 12 associates, two trainees and two paralegals. Over the last few years the team has increasingly focused on transaction work outside the UK and this comprises about 70 per cent of the current workload.
They have a strong position in the domestic PPP market, in particular, in the education, health and social housing sectors, but increasingly are focusing onemerging markets and international infrastructure. The mining practice is regularly ranked as a tier one practice and continues to grow. Their commodities specialists advise the leading banks on trade finance deals for food targeting Africa and the CIS.
In 2006/07 the firm acted on landmark deals, such as:
Voshkod Chrome, Kazakhstan (European Mining deal of the Year 2007)
Talvivara, Finland (Project Finance mining deal of the Year 2007)
Lumwana, Zambia (African mining deal of the Year 2007)
Language skills are preferred, in particular Russian, French and Spanish
