This diversified international provider of specialist financial services around the world, is due to rapid growth, looking to recruit an Aviation Legal Counsel to join the Dublin office. The role is within the Capital Finance Division, which operates a number of specialist asset finance businesses, focusing on asset classes such as aircraft engines, technology, telecommunications, transportation assets and infrastructure. The Capital Finance is also an active provider of corporate, acquisition, structured and bridging finance.
The role will include drafting term sheets for purchase, sale, lease, sale & leaseback, financing of engines; negotiating Purchase Agreements with OEM's for purchase of assets new from the production line; legal negotiation and drafting of transaction documents (operating lease, sale and leaseback, purchase and sale, security documentation, etc) and third party outsourcing contracts; transaction management of all legal aspects of transactions; manager of the Aviation Capital day to day legal risks; monitoring of aircraft engine insurance terms and conditions; confidentiality arrangements with third parties; managing standard terms - GTA, storage arrangements; and managing external legal counsel and legal cost management.
To be successful you will already be working in the sector and have had exposure and experience in aviation leasing and financing which underpins a thorough understanding of current and recent market trends. You will have a strong legal knowledge and a clear and complete understanding of asset based leasing and finance, including operating leasing, finance leasing, asset lending, asset security and regulatory regimes. You will be commercially minded and happy to involve yourself with new marketing and business development opportunities. Additionally, you'll have strong academics and be able to fit seamlessly into the team environment.
