Excellent opportunity for a Shipping Litigator with 5+ pqe and an extensive knowledge of commercial shipping litigation/arbitration and some client following to join the London office of this leading National firm. The firm has an international reputation in maritime matters and their success is reflected in their broad client base. They act for insurers, financial institutions and public and private companies, as well as private individuals and government agencies worldwide. The successful candidate can expect to handle a wide range of shipping matters including P&I, FD&D, MOA, shipbuilding contract and marine insurance disputes and should be prepared to deal with all other varieties of shipping related accidents and matters. The team is engaged in a wide range of shipping work, primarily including bill of lading and charterparty disputes but also covering other shipping and commercial litigation and arbitration/mediation work. The ideal applicant will have a good sense of humour and a willingness to play their part in a dynamic and successful team, being prepared to participate in business development. Overseas travel may be required and therefore fluency in foreign languages would be an advantage but is not essential.
