Job Description

Assistant Solicitor sought to provide support to an Associate on large Agricultural cases as well as dealing with their own caseload. The successful candidate will assist the Agricultural team as a whole on a wide variety of marketing and business development opportunities.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

·         Taking instructions from clients on a matter and acting on behalf of clients

·         To review case files

·         To deal with the day to day post and other correspondence and telephone calls

·         To ensure that all time limits are kept

·         To aim to achieve billing and chargeable hours targets to control disbursements

 

Previous Experience:

 

·         Contentious environmental and planning law experience

·         Knowledge of the Planning Enforcement Regime

·         Judicial Review and High Court Challenges

·         Waste and Pollution offences

·         Statutory Nuisance
